Laveré Intensive Night Cream Reviews

Review of Laveré Intensive Night Cream
By Louise Maythorne.

Packaging: Laveré Intensive Night Cream is presented in a cute shiny tube with a screw cap. The silver metallic effect makes the product look both modern and classy, and it would certainly look nice on the bathroom shelf. The tube is made from plastic, which I always prefer to glass or metal because it means less worrying about accidents in a suitcase or handbag. The screw cap is a nice simple way to dispense the product, and the consistency of the contents means that the cap doesn’t get messy or sticky. Overall, it is a smart and practical way to package the cream.

Application: The Cream is an absolute treat to apply. It has a wonderful texture which feels incredibly emollient but sinks in immediately and leaves behind no sticky residue. I must have tried hundreds of face creams before, and this is the very first cream I have used to leave behind such a nice texture on the skin: soft and matte. It is because of this lovely texture that I decided to experiment with it as a morning moisturiser as well and I’m so glad I did! It makes the most excellent base for makeup, as good as my normal combination of a separate moisturiser and primer but without having to wait for each one to sink in. My skin stayed moisturised all day, even the odd dry patch around my chin, and my makeup stayed put too! In the evening I applied it after my usual cleanse and tone routine and let it work its magic overnight.

Ingredients: The Intensive Night cream is based on ingredients from organic farming, together with natural essential oils, but perhaps more importantly is free from synthetic colorants, preservatives and perfumes. Easily irritated skins will be grateful for such a gentle list of ingredients. The scent of the product is an unusual one but also very pleasant. My partner described it as smelling a bit like talcum powder and flowers! It is a subtle scent, one which wears off quickly after application and doesn’t feel at all synthetic. A little goes a long way with cream, but equally it is so versatile that you might find yourself applying twice a day. The product’s shelf life reflects the fact that it contains natural ingredients like all Laveré products, but will happily last a month or two of regular application.

Results: Laveré Intensive Night Cream is part of Laveré’s anti-aging line and I am sure that mature skins will love this product. In addition though, this cream would also be perfect for someone like myself with quite young but very dry and sensitive skin. I used it in the evening according to the manufacturer’s instructions, but as I described above, I also found it made the most wonderful daytime moisturiser and makeup base. For me, being able to get so many uses out of one product represents excellent value for money. I found that it moisturised my skin, kept it feeling fresh and bright and also calm and stable. The results were instantly impressive and haven’t disappointed with continued use.

Pros:
Great multi-tasker for different skin types (mature/dry/sensitive) and different times of day (morning/night) so although it’s a high-end product it’s also good value for money.
Brilliant texture is instantly moisturising and brightening without being sticky

Cons:
I can’t think of any!

Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Face Lotion Reviews

Review of Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Face Lotion
Kath Allen

Packaging: Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Face Lotion comes in a lovely glass applicator bottle with a pump action top and a plastic lid. The writing on the bottle is silver, red and black, with a dictionary
definition element to the name and description, giving it a serious
health-giving appearance. The effect is stylish and classy and the
bottle would grace any bathroom or dressing table.

Application: The face lotion itself is light and easily absorbed into the skin, with a wonderful, aromatherapy scent of roses. The bottle says that the lotion is '100% natural and therapautic' and the scent alone makes it a mini therapy in a bottle. The downside I found was that the
lotion was slightly stinging to my sensitive skin so it may not be
suitable for those who react to highly scented products. I eventually
used it as a hand cream which worked well.

Ingredients: Barefoot Botanicals products contains ingredients which are all natural such as: rosa mosqueta and argan oils. The herbal extracts are described as 'potent' and I agree with this as it's certainly had an effect on my skin of tightening and softening. It says it promotes elasticity and I just wish I had been able to keep using it to see its true effect!

Pros
Wonderful scent
Easily absorbed
Softening and soothing

Cons
Could sting sensitive skin
Slightly greasy residue
Small bottle!
